A native of Los Angeles, Sophie Etemadi always knew she wanted to become a trial lawyer. In furtherance of that goal, Sophie attended James Monroe Law and Government Magnet High School, and loved competing on the school’s mock trial team. Sophie continued honing her trial skills as a Bruin at UCLA, and competed on the school’s top-ranked trial team, winning the regional championship tournament.
At Loyola Law School, Sophie was chosen to compete in her school’s nationally ranked Byrne Trial Advocacy Team where she was able to truly develop her unwavering confidence in the courtroom. At the American Association of Justice Tournament in 2014, she was awarded the prestigious honor of regional champion.
After graduating law school, Sophie continued to sharpen her trial skills by participating in the highly recognized American Board of Trial Advocates Fellowship. Upon completion, Sophie began representing plaintiffs in the field of medical malpractice and personal injury.
In 2016, Sophie tried a medical malpractice case in Torrance, California and won a verdict three times the amount the Defendant had offered to settle the case. Sophie has also had the honor of representing many plaintiffs in arbitrations against Kaiser.
As a practicing attorney, Sophie has also participated in the American Board of Trial Advocates Jack Daniel’s Trial School as well as CAALA’s Plaintiff’s Trial Academy.
When Sophie isn’t appearing in court, she enjoys performing stand-up comedy at open mic nights and taking improv classes. She has a true passion for justice, and will fight fearlessly to get the verdicts her clients deserve.
