After a jury trial, on March 26, 2014, Robert T. Simon and Brandon J. Simon of The Simon Law Group, LLP, obtained a special jury verdict which allocated 70% fault to Defendant on a verdict of $845,262.00, for a net total of $591,683.40, for a motorcycle accident. Plaintiff Demetrius Caldwell had been travelling on a major street when defendant driver, who was acting in the scope of his employment for defendant San Gabriel Transit, Inc., initiated a left turn from a stop sign and collided into plaintiff, causing extensive injuries. The net jury verdict obtained was ultimately $290,683.40 more than Defendant’s pretrial 998 offer to settle for $301,000.00.
