Ashley Kim

Ashley Kim was born and raised in Southern California, but decided to move to Northern California for college where she obtained her bachelor’s degree in Intercultural Communications and Spanish from Pacific Union College. Her passion for law began as she worked at a non-profit legal clinic in Compton, California, where she assisted individuals in an underserved community with immigration matters. There, she saw the positive impact of strong and competent advocacy in a field that often leaves people feeling lost and overwhelmed, and decided to pursue a career in law.

She went to earn her Juris Doctor degree from Loyola Law School. After her first year in law school, she was awarded a Trial Advocacy Scholarship and began working as a law clerk at a Los Angeles based firm which she continued throughout her time in law school. During her second year, Ashley externed at the United States District Court for the Honorable Gary Klausner where she extensively researched federal and state law and drafted motion orders for the court. During her third and final year, she was involved in the Employment Rights Clinic at Loyola Law School where she collaborated with employees and the California Division of Labor Standards Enforcement and recommended outcomes for employment retaliation claims. Following law school, Ashley continued to work at the Los Angeles based firm where she gained experience in personal injury, employment, and mass tort matters.

As a novice Korean cook, she enjoys experimenting with new dishes and eating at different restaurants throughout Koreatown as part of her research. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, listening to her favorite podcasts, a good cup of matcha latte, and traveling to new destinations.
