Bret Geckeler is an of counsel trial attorney with The Simon Law Group. Bret’s practice is diverse and includes some of the firm’s most complex legal issues. After receiving his B.A. from UCLA, Bret graduated from the UCLA School of Law.
Prior to joining the firm, Bret worked for more than three years with a prestigious, global, corporate defense firm. While there, his robust pro bono practice allowed him to develop his passion for representing individuals. In 2017, he was recognized by the California Innocence Project for his work on behalf of a wrongfully convicted man.
Bret is the firm’s second, proud Bakersfield native. Unsurprisingly, he is prone to wearing cowboy boots with too much denim, and his diverse music taste ranges from country all the way to western. He enjoys spending time with his soon-to-be wife, and he also desperately tries to counteract his pretty-boy image by dabbling in archery and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
