Haya Tello is a Southern California native who attended the University of Southern California, where she earned her degree in Philosophy, Politics, and Law. From a young age, Haya knew she wanted to become an attorney, and at USC she began competing on the mock trial team.
After her undergraduate studies, Haya went on to attend Chapman University Fowler School of Law. During law school, she remained deeply involved in trial advocacy, serving on both the Mock Trial and Alternative Dispute Resolution teams. She also served as President of the Muslim Law Students Association and planned events to bring her community together.
Haya initially focused her legal training on transactional and contract law, gaining experience in the fashion and entertainment industry and externing in-house at a digital media company. However, after a personal injury case impacted her own family, Haya witnessed firsthand the profound effect these cases have on individuals and families. That experience reshaped her professional path and solidified her commitment to representing people during some of the most difficult moments of their lives.
At the end of her second year of law school, Haya joined The Simon Law Group as a law clerk and continued with the firm as an attorney after graduation. She was drawn to the firm’s close-knit, family-oriented culture and its unwavering dedication to advocating for individuals and families who need a strong voice.
Outside of work, Haya enjoys expressing her creativity through fashion and sewing, staying active through boxing and Pilates classes, and giving back to her community through volunteer work and continued involvement as a board member of the Muslim Bar Association
