Roman was born and raised in Sacramento, California. As a toddler, his grandmother gave him books for entertainment. As a result, he became a first-generation college graduate. During school, his passion for writing poetry transformed into a passion for persuasion and argument. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in English, and he was actively engaged in organizations geared towards helping first generation college students like himself.
After college, Roman received his law degree from Pepperdine University School of Law. He was immediately drawn to oral advocacy. During his 2L year, he won first place in the annual Closing Argument Competition. This solidified his spot on the school’s nationally ranked Trial Team where he competed against top schools and honed his advocacy skills. To gain further insight into the legal world, he worked at plaintiff firms, defense firms, and in Federal Court throughout law school.
Upon graduation, Roman worked at national and international defense firms representing insurance companies in cases involving catastrophic personal injury. A few years into his career, he was injured in a car accident where the at-fault driver was uninsured. Thankfully, he was represented by competent attorneys who helped him through difficult times. Those attorneys helped him fully recover physically and mentally. Inspired, and after years of representing corporations, Roman decided to use his advocacy skills to represent people with his experience and expertise from his years on the defense side. Now, working at the Simon Law Group, he pays it forward by helping those who are injured recover fully.
In his free time, Roman enjoys exercising, watching movies, and drinking coffee.
